Systems Integration Engineer (4-6 month contract)

We are looking for a Systems Integration Engineer to join a company who are pioneering large scale marine robotics and creating technology that challenges innovation.


Engineers who thrive on being involved in ground breaking projects that make a difference in the world of technology and love to see products delivered to market, being involved in the end to end process and operate to high standards of quality, will be excited about this role.


This role requires you to travel abroad to locations such as the middle east, UK, Europe and beyond.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • AUV System Ownership: Oversee AUV integration and system performance, ensuring compliance with technical and operational requirements.

  • Requirements Management: Capture, derive, validate, and manage system requirements.

  • Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, software, and sensor teams to achieve successful system integration.

  • Debugging and Optimisation: Lead troubleshooting efforts and implement system-level improvements to the AUV platforms.

  • Integration and Testing: Develop and execute integration and commissioning plans, conducting testing and acceptance activities in the workshop and on sea trials.

  • Interface Management: Define and manage system interfaces to ensure compatibility and performance.

  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate technical, integration and operational risks to minimise impact on system performance and project timelines.

  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of designs, configurations, and test results.

  • Field Support: Provide technical oversight during deployment and real-world operations.

  • Continuous Improvement: Analyse system performance post-deployment and recommend enhancements.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Broad engineering knowledge across mechanical, electrical, software, and sensor systems.

  • Proven experience in system integration and performance optimisation, ideally within subsea systems.

  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills with a hands-on approach.

  • Strong organisational and communication skills to coordinate multidisciplinary teams.

  • Experience with marine systems or complex system-of-systems integration is highly desirable.

  • Degree in engineering or a related field.
